Angola Fourth of July Parade

Tossing candy, dancing and showing off classic cars, the Fourth of July parade was a big hit.  Eager kids ran for their treats as Justin Kent, John and Karen Barrett, and Broker Mark Hansbarger helped kick off the festive spirit dancing to Dean Martin tunes around the classic cars sponsored by TeamERA.

“We had a great time with the parade,” says Mark, “We’ve carried the ERA Real Estate banner several times over the past thirty years, and we’re already making plans for 2010!”

American Red Cross

Thunderstorms did not deter TeamERA efforts for the American Red Cross. As the clouds broke open, so did the spirit of generosity from truckers, vacationers and locals who stopped along Angola’s Public Square on July 11 to donate their spare change... and in some circumstances, five, ten and twenty dollar bills! Raising more than $950 in three hot hours, these funds will help provide the Steuben County chapter with disaster relief and preparedness classes including CPR, first aid, learn to swim and more.

“We had a blast out there,” says John and Karen Barrett of ERA Hansbarger Realty, “The American Red Cross needed our help and we were eager to assist them in any way we could.”

The ERA Top Team award was presented once again to Clear Lake’s John and Karen Barrett, for production and outstanding service to their clients. “This speaks very highly of them,” says Hansbarger, “since ‘Team Barrett’ has won awards like this for nearly eight years running.”

Justin Kent of Angola was given Rookie of the Year recognition. “He has just done tremendous work as a new ERA associate, benefiting our firm with his technology and accounting training strengths added to his marketing expertise,” explains Hansbarger.

The ERA Most Improved Agent Award for Northeast Indiana went to Barbara Barrett, an Auburn resident working from Angola. Hansbarger explains, “Barbara started in real estate just over a year ago and has excelled in offering our specialized ERA services.”

According to Hansbarger, these awards emphasize the training received by all of ERA Hansbarger Realty’s staff in presenting customer services and benefits like the exclusive ERA Seller’s Security Plan (“We will sell your home, or ERA will buy It”) and ERA Home Warranty, particularly in a market-place where buyers and sellers are concerned not only for saving money but avoiding unexpected costs.

“That’s what we’ve been doing since 1966: building a well functioning, hard working group of real estate professionals,” says Hansbarger, “I am really proud of our entire ERA team here in Angola.”
